Privacy Policy
bankingops.org is a community-driven, unincorporated initiative (the “initiative,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website during its beta, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We only collect what you choose to submit, plus minimal technical data needed to operate the site securely:
- Beta signup form: your name, work email, and optionally company, role, organization type, willingness to contribute, areas of interest, and any message you add.
- Contact form: your name, email, and message.
- Technical data at submission: your IP address and browser user-agent string, retained for security and abuse prevention.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics.
How we use it
- To operate the beta — contact you about participation, early access, and updates.
- To understand interest across the stack and prioritize what to build.
- To respond to messages you send us.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Where it is stored
Submissions are stored in our own PostgreSQL database on infrastructure we control. Access is limited to people operating the initiative. The site loads one third-party JavaScript library (the GSAP animation library) from a public CDN (cdnjs / Cloudflare) to power the process-diagram demo; no personal data is sent to that CDN.
Retention
We keep your information for as long as the beta program runs, and delete it when it is no longer needed or sooner on your request.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information at any time via our contact form. We will honor reasonable requests promptly.
Changes
We may update this policy as the initiative evolves. The effective date above reflects the latest version.
